\u00a0\u00a0 but they were distracted by their games<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 of mayhem and murder.<\/strong><\/p>\n

America called her children home-<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 to rebuild her empire,<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 brick by beam by girder.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But far away the children stood,<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 all for bad and none for good;<\/strong><\/p>\n

Up to their knees in the rising flood.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 Drenched in oil and tears and blood.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

America called her friends to help<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 her children far away, who<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 were engaged in endless blunder.<\/strong><\/p>\n

America called her friends to help,<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 but all those friendships<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 had been torn asunder.<\/strong><\/p>\n

America called her friends to help,<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 but they turned away.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 They ignored and shunned her.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And far away the children played<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 unaware of the mistakes they had made.<\/strong><\/p>\n

All were happy, when they should have been sad.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 None for good and all for bad. <\/strong><\/p>\n
